Descubre este maravilloso pueblo, capital de la comarca de La Costera. Declarada Conjunto Histórico-Artístico, Xàtiva conserva un rico patrimonio artístico, que descubrimos a nuestro paso: la colegiata renacentista; la ermita de San Félix, la más antigua de la ciudad (aseguran que fue templo de los mozárabes y que Jaime I la reconstruyó); la iglesia de Sant Pere... Destaca sobre todo, con 30 torres y cuatro puertas fortificas, su enorme castillo, fruto de la fusión de una fortaleza ibero-romana y otra árabe. Desde el castillo descienden las murallas que hasta el s. X cerraban la ciudad romana. Más tarde se añadió una segunda muralla que abarcaba lo que hoy es el centro histórico.

Discover Xátiva, the capital of the region of La Costera. Declared to be a Historic-Artistic Site, preserves a wealth of artistic heritage to be discovered: the Renaissance collegiate church; the hermitage of San Félix, the oldest in the city (it is said to have been a Mozarab temple and that Jaime I rebuilt it); the church of Sant Pere... Most outstanding, with 30 towers and four fortified gates, is its enormous castle, the result of the fusion of an Iberian-Roman fortress and a later Arab one. Running down from the castle are the walls which until the 10th century enclosed the Roman city. A second wall was added later which took in what today is the historic quarter.
